It used to be that the opening of a new post office in a city was a spoon-worthy occasion. In this case, it’s a new post office in Kansas City, Missouri.
No date on this one, but records show there was a Post Office that opened in 1893 and one in 1939, so I’m guessing this commemorates the earlier opening.
