No snickering! Oregon can refer to itself as anything it pleases. Not everyone can have a glorious and important-sounding moniker like “The Evergreen State.” Besides, “The Duck State” just sounds weird.

Day 150 – Ooh! That’s a Minneapolis Spoon!
Ya know, some cities just have real nice spoons. Take Minneapolis, Minnesota. Why, this spoon has a nice big skyline right there at the top. Out of alla the features on dis spoon, dat’s da best one, dont’cha know.
It’s not a spendy spoon, nope, but I like it. I dropped this here spoon on the floor a bit ago and yelled “OH FER GEEZ” cuz I was worried I went an’ broke it! But it’s all in one piece, there. Whew.
Day 149 – The John F. Kennedy Spoon
President John Fitzgerald Kennedy would have been 100 years old today.
This J.F.K. spoon is one in a collection of 37 silver-plated spoons representing all of the U.S. Presidents, from Washington through Nixon. The spoons were designed and manufactured by the W.M. Rogers Company, which was later purchased by the International Silver Company. Each spoon bears the name and likeness of the president, his dates in office, and shows an event that happened during his presidency.
