Sunriver, Oregon is a resort and vacation community in the central patt of the state. The land on which Sunriver sits was first settled by Fred A. Shonquest in the late 19th century.
In 1942, Shonquest’s old ranch land became the site for Camp Abbot, used by the U.S Army to train combat engineers during WWII. The entire site, except for the Officer’s Club, was razed by June 1944. The Officers’ Club was eventually incorporated into Sunriver resort’s Great Hall.
The spoon seems to be haunted, but I’m admittedly not an expert in this area.
