Adventureland Park, despite what the spoon says, is in Altoona, Iowa.
The amusement park’s official mascot is a Saint Bernard, cleverly named “Bernie Bernard.” My dog, Gus, would like the owners of Adventureland to know that he is available as an understudy should Bernie Bernard ever fail to perform his duties.
The park has a total of 47 rides, which includes 5 roller coasters and 2 water rides. Fun fact: the Sky Ride at Adventureland is from the 1974 World’s Fair in Spokane, Washington.
